Ich weiß net, ich bin nicht aus politischen Gründen in dieser Mailliste. Ich glaube auch nicht das freie Software politisch ist. Meiner Meinung nach steht freie Software einfach für Demokratie. Gerade in Zeiten wo alles über diesen grauen Kasten passiert, der alles “aufsaugt“, finde ich es wichtig, dass es unabhängige Leute gibt, die kontrollieren können was genau im Hintergrund passiert. Gerade Apple zeigt wie auf einmal versucht wird, die eigenen Werte der kompletten Welt “aufzuzwingen“. Auch die USA zeigt dies. Ist nicht umsonst gerade bei Cloud sehr groß in der Diskussion. Aber wenn man überlegt wie wenig dies gerade im öffentlichen Dienst berücksichtigt wird, vermute ich, dass diese Einsicht sich erst breit durchsetzt wenn es (fast) zu spät ist... (Hey ich arbeite im öffentlichen Dienst und jedes mal am ende des Jahres: verdammt, wie haben so viel Geld über, wenn wir das jetzt nicht ausgeben bekommen wir auch nächstes Jahr weniger. Also was machen wir jetzt damit (so wurden auch die Windows 7 Lizenzen angeschafft... ) )
@Umfrage: Wollte mitmachen und die erste frage war, was ist für dich Deutsch. Gleich das Fenster des Browsers wieder geschlossen. So eine weitfassende Frage beantwortet man nicht einfach so... Oder ist dies eher "liberal"? Oder gar "konservativ", weil ursprünglich alle Software frei war?

Sorry hab mich etwas missverständlich ausgedrückt. Demokratie ist das, wofür wir Jahrhunderte kämpfen mussten und immer noch kämpfen müssen.
Ich meinte nicht, dass Demokratie nicht politisch ist, sondern das man Demokratie keinem politischem Lager zuordnen kann. Die Partei die Demokratie nicht unterstützt ist entweder verboten oder wird vom Verfassungsschutz beobachtet...

Gut, jetzt verstehe ich Dich. Freie Software ist wie Demokratie politisch. Allerdings kann man sie nicht einem bestimmten politischen Lager zuordnen wie z.B. rot, grün, schwarz, gelb, rot, orange, ...

Jede der nachfolgenden zeile ist eine begründung warum freie open source software nun doch politisch ist - irgendwie passt das alles nicht zusammen ;-)
Ich glaube du sitzt dem weit verbreitetem irrtum auf, dass "politisch" mit parteipolitik gleichzusetzen ist. Ein irrtum der für die demokratie fatal sein kann, weil mit dem unbehagen gegenüber dem parteipolitischen geplänkel auch jeglicher gesellschaftspolitischer anspruch den abfluss hinunter gespült wird.
Schlampiger sprachgebrauch ist ein wunderbahrer nährboden für missverständnisse - und unsere übliche sprachverwendung (auch meine) hat leider nur eine beschränkte genauigkeit.
