Dear all,
I received feedback by a CEO in Germany regarding the survey: we have some errors in the survey, so if you don't object please let us fix them in the various language versions.
* Q10: SugarCRM is no longer Free Software. We should rather use SuiteCRM, a quite successful fork which is still FOSS * Q10: "Kolab" is no E-Mail client, it rather is a server solution. I recommend to just remove it
Furthermore, I have some questions for the results' usage:
* How will we publish the results? Can we share the raw data if we obfuscate personal information? * How long will the survey run? In Germany I think we can use the network of a business association but I'm not sure how long they will need to send out the survey to their contacts.
Thanks for your thought!
Best, Max

Hi everyone,
please be careful with the required changes, so that we dont "mess" with the survey-tool and lose results. Its a pity we didnt have this information on the tools earlier. Thats all new to me. In case you manage to change these without problems, let me know, so that I deal with the Greek version as well. Thank you for that.
Concerning the two last questions of Max, answers on this are in the proposal, the Methodology Framework and the Management Plan. By March 2018 we should be finished with O1/A1 on the whole.

Hi,
Yes, we should also be careful and avoid changing the actual questions (as it would negatively impact on the survey design and this is not good from a research methodology perspective).
From a survey design point of view we should avoid to change the actual questions. However, it may be ok to slightly modify the illustrative examples of specific tools (as those are intended to clarify the questions, e.g. tool X is an example of an open source toos, whereas tool Y is an example of a proprietary tool).

I think so, too. Using non-FOSS software as an example is just wrong, and it won't destroy the survey design.
Therefore, I just changed the German translation in the admin panel under Tools -> Quick translation. This won't reset any results AFAIK.

Hi everyone,
the Greek translation is also corrected now.
We already have 31 responses and will not further disseminate the survey in Greece. Thus its important for everyone else still promoting the questionnaire.
Good luck everyone!
