Als jemand, der noch nie etwas von Trisquel gehoert hatte, und nun schnell bei Wikipedia nachgelesen hatte, habe ich den Eindruck, dass ich so etwas nie installieren würde. Das klingt schon nach mühsam. Als ganz Junger hatte ich die Zeit Nächte lang in das fixen meines Arbeits-PCs zu stecken, nun möchte ich ein System das funktioniert. Und dazu gehört halt eine Distribution die einfach funktioniert (für mich Fedora oder Ubuntu). Ich kann mir nicht vorstellen, dass irgendjemand in einem Kurs sich Nächte um die Ohren schlägt um ein System zu nutzen.
Das ist eben ein anderer Ansatz. Wenn du dich mit den Idealen der FSF und auch der FSFE beschäftigst würdest du die Empfehlungen der FSF kennen:

Das Freiheit durchaus mit Einbussen verbunden ist und einen bewussten Entscheid darstellt, weisst du sicherlich. Es wäre toll wenn die Industrie irgendwann mitspielen würde und es gibt sicher einige Projekte die das voran treiben, bis dahin kann man sich allerdings anders helfen.
Zum Beispiel indem man direkt einen Laptop mit Libreboot erwirbt und eine Freie Distro darauf betreibt. Dazu zählt aus meiner Sicht auch Debian GNU/Linux, wenn du dich auf den main Zweig beschränkst.
Die 4 Freiheiten sind meiner Meinung nicht einfach ein Dogma, dass angewendet werden muss, sondern sie müssen etwas bringen. Und ich bin überzeugt, dass mit Entsprechendem Aufwand, man Dinge finden kann, wo die 4 Freiheiten einen Mehrwert bringen. Wenn am Ende einer Veranstaltung, jemand hinausgeht und denkt: Schade dass das BIOS diesen Binary Blob braucht, ansonsten könnte ich das und das machen. dann denke ich, hat man etwas in dem Menschen hinterlassen. Wenn ich allerdings rausgehe und denke, ich verzichte auf den Binary Blob, dafür geht nichts mehr oder alles ist viel muehseliger, dann fange ich damit nicht an. Präsentieren wird doch eigene Geschichten, wo wir von dem Binary Blob einen Nachteil erhielten, oder etwas nicht machen konnten, dass einfach super gewesen wäre.
Das finde ich eine tolle Idee. Aktuell wird das am Beispiel der AMT Sicherheitslücken sehr deutlich oder aber auch dann wenn es um Firmware-Restriktionen bei Routern geht. Übrigens eine ganz wichtige Diskussion.
Das sehe ich absolut nicht so und unsere bisherigen politischen oder auch künstlerischen Aktionen wie Freedomvote
Also das Fotobuch habe ich nicht ganz verstanden, aber das politische Engagement, dass finde ich super. Gerade bei der Bundes-IT werden so viele Software Projekte produziert, verworfen, dupliziert wer hier auf freie Software setzt, kann einen echten Mehrwert erreichen. Und wieder die 4 Freiheiten, kann man meiner Meinung nur durch realen Mehrwert motivieren, sonst ist es doch eher eine Religion.
Das ist eine schwierige Diskussion und ich vergleiche es gerne mit Veganismus. Das ist für fleischessende Menschen auch schwer zu verstehen, dennoch würde der Verzicht auf Fleisch der Gesamtheit und besonders auch jedem Einzelnen sicher gut tun. Es geht darum Dinge wegzulassen die einem Schaden und auch für die Gesellschaft als ganzes nicht gut sind.
Das Fotobuch wurde übrigens aus einem ganz einfachem Grund geschaffen, um Menschen in Ihrem Alltag zu präsentieren die gerne Freie Software nutzen. Ich sehe es eher unter künstlerischen Aspekten und da gibt es viel Freiraum ;)
