Hi all,
I set up a new voice conference server for your delight and delectation. It runs Murmur, and you connect to it using Mumble. We've tested it with three participants so far in different countries and it's working great.
You can use it for free calls or conference calls. All participating users who can hear what you're saying are listed in the mumble client interface. You'll probably want to go to configure->settings->and change "transmit" to "push to talk" so you only get heard when you want to. Then, in the same settings window, go to "Shortcuts"->add and create a shortcut for Push-to-talk (I use left ctrl).
To chat, install mumble (from repositories) then login using:
Address: 217.69.89.168 Port: 64738
This service is still experimental so be cautious about scheduling critical meetings there, but so far its been reliable. Also, please don't spread word about this service. We should use it for campaigns only and continue to test it for now. Don't want the load to get too high and tax out vserver.
Best,
