1. Henrik Sandklef se convierte en miembro de la asociación FSFE
Durante varios años Henrik Sandklef ha formado parte del equipo sueco de la FSFE; desde ahora también es, oficialmente, miembro de la asociación FSFE. Con su incorporación, la FSFE se fortalecerá tanto políticamente como operacionalmente en Suecia.

2. La Fellowship: un gran éxito
El 28 de febrero del 2005, la FSFE presentó su Fellowship; al día de hoy ya es un gran éxito. Más de 300 personas se han registrado durante el primer mes de vida de la comunidad, de las cuales más de 180 ya han activado su dirección de correo @fsfe.org, escriben blogs en https://www.fsfe.org, y están esperando obtener sus tarjetas criptográficas personalizadas, las cuales actualmente se están preparando. Si todavía no se ha unido a la comunidad para proteger su libertad, por favor, ¡hágalo!.
3. Karsten Gerloff el nuevo estudiante en prácticas en la FSFE
Después de la positiva experiencia del primer estudiante en prácticas que trabajó en la FSFE, Matthias Kirschner, nos alegramos de disponer de otro estudiante para continuar su trabajo; se trata de Karsten Gerloff, estudiante de «Applied Cultural Sciences» en la Universidad de Lüneburg. 4. Fiesta de la Libertad en Berlin
Para celebrar el lanzamiento de la Fellowship se reunieron, en la la Fiesta de la Libertad («Freedom Party») de Berlin, algunos Fellows y aquellos usuarios que lo desearon. A invitación de la FSFE y de Newthinking Network, cerca de ochenta invitados pudieron compartir sus conocimientos de Software Libre, observar cómo funciona la tarjeta criptográfica de la Fellowship y pasar un buen rato.

5. Taller de Software Libre en Damasco
En el Taller de Software Libre («Free Software Workshop») que se celebró en Damasco, Siria, Karin Kosina y Jonas Öberg dieron una serie de conferencias. Karin habló acerca de los aspectos económicos del Software Libre, mientras que Jonas habló de la educación universitaria en Software Libre. Este encuentro fue una excelente e interesante oportunidad para contactar con la comunidad de Software Libre en Oriente Medio; nos alegra ver cómo, globalmente, la comunidad de Software Libre se fortalece día a día.
6. Conferencia sobre Software Libre en Istambul
En la Universidad «Istambul Bilgi» se celebró una conferencia sobre Software Libre; esta conferencia se centró en las oportunidades que proporciona el Software Libre para la economía turca. Georg Greve y Matthias Kirschner mantuvieron unas interesantes charlas con activistas de Software Libre locales. Georg Greve habló de los aspectos comerciales, prácticos y económicos del Software Libre y del Proyecto GNU.
7. Conferencia de Software Libre en Sarajevo
En la Facultad de Ingeniería de Sarajevo, Bosnia, Alessandro Rubini dio una conferencia acerca del «Software Libre en una sociedad libre». Mientras duró su estancia en la Universidad, en una actividad patrocinada por la «Fondazione Willy Brandt» (Fundación con sede en Roma), intentó crear con relevantes miembros de diversos grupos de usuarios locales y con personal de la universidad las relaciones básicas para facilitar la formación, en un futuro, de una nueva sección de la FSFE en ese país.
8. Linuxforum en Copenhague
En Cophenaguen, Dinamarca, se celebró el Linuxforum 2005. La FSF Europa estuvo representada por Henrik Sandklef y por la asociación «IT-Politisk Forening», que trabaja en Dinamarca para la libertad de la información.
9. Aumenta el interés público por el juicio antimonopolio contra Microsoft
Después de hacerse evidente en diciembre de 2004 que Microsoft continuaba entorpeciendo la decisión del Tribunal Europeo; la FSFE y el equipo de Samba han decidido tomar la iniciativa y presentar a la Comisión Europea los términos exactos que se tienen que imponer a Microsoft para cumplir con la decisión que tomó el Tribunal Europeo respecto al proceso antimonopolio. Esto ha tenido una fuerte repercusión, muy positiva para el Software Libre, en medios de comunicación importantes, cómo por ejemplo el Wall Street Journal.

10. Georg Greve visita la FSF en Boston
En marzo, Georg Greve dedica un tiempo a visitar la organización gemela de la FSFE, la Free Software Foundation de los Estados Unidos de América, allí paso algún tiempo reunido con los empleados y directores de la fundación estadounidense. También participó, al igual que en años anteriores, en la reunión anual de miembros asociados de la FSF, donde informó a las personas que apoyan la FSF en los Estados Unidos qué es lo que ocurre en Europa.
