am Donnerstag, den 28. November 2019 wird ab 8.30 Uhr im Alten Rathaus in München unter dem Motto: „Mensch statt Technik – Wenn Digitalisierung wirkt.“ der Open Government Tag 2019 durchgeführt.
Vielleicht mag ja jemand von euch dahin gehen und das Thema Freie Software ansprechen.

Das fanden wir auch. Nachdem das damals von den Medien fast nicht aufgegriffen wurde, kam es jetzt am 18. Oktober in den Printausgaben der Stuttgarter Nachrichten und auf jeden Fall auch die Backnanger Kreiszeitung im Kulturteil in einem Artikel zur neuen Tour von Christine Prayon. Hier das Zitat aus dem Artikel:
Und als man ihr in diesem Jahr in München den Dieter-Hildebrandt-Preis verlieh, äußerte sie sich zur bayrischen Metropole. Die hatte als erste Großstadt Europas sämtliche Computer der Stadtverwaltung von Microsoft Windows auf die freie Software Linux umgestellt. "Ich finde das so klasse, dass Sie hier in München angefangen haben, sich von einem Riesenkonzeren mit Monopolstellung unabhängig zu machen und Ihre komplette Verwaltung über ein freies System laufen zu lassen", lobt Prayon in ihrer Dankesrede zuerst. Doch selbstredend wusste sie, dass die rot-schwarze Mehrheit im Münchner Stadtrat entgegen dem alten grün-roten Beschluss schon Ende 2017 entschieden hatte, zurück zu Microsoft zu wechseln. Drum kündigt Praon in Anwesenheit des Oberbürgermeisters an, das gesamt Preisgeld in Höhe von 10000 Euro der Free Software Foundation Europe zu spenden - der Verein setzt sich dafür ein, freie Software wie Liux zu verbessern und zu verbreiten.
(Ich vermute, dass das noch mehr Lokalausgaben den Artikel gebracht haben, weil die meist alle bis auf den Lokalteil den Rest übernehmen.)

auch ich finde das positiv.
Gibt es eigentlich schon ein follow up von der Backnanger Verwaltung, dass dort nun erwogen wird, Freie Software zur Sicherung der digitalen Souveränität verstärkt einzusetzen?
