Hallo Freunde der FSF Europe,
seid schon fast zwei Jahren arbeitet Georg Greve als erster gewählter Präsident für das Kernteam der Free Software Foundation Europe.
Reisen und auf Veranstaltungen den Geist der Freien Software hochzuhalten ist eine seiner Hauptaufgaben. Georgs Laptop ihm dabei ein ständiger Begleiter und Hauptarbeitsgerät.
Dieses wichtige Stück Hardware scheint nun, neben mehreren weniger schwerwiegenden Defekten in den letzten Jahren nun langsam auf seinen letzten Tag zu zugehen und wir suchen Ersatz.
Eine Hardwarespende für einen Laptop würde uns deshalb sehr freuen, da wir unsere knappen finanziellen Ressourcen und Spenden nur ungern für den Kauf eines neuen Laptops einsetzen wollen.
Geeignet wäre erstmal jeder Laptop auf dem Debian GNU/Linux läuft, mit dem Präsentation (SVGA out) und Reisen (Batterie, Gewicht) zuverlässig möglich sind. Eine für Georg passende Tastatur, PC-Card-Anschluß und Laufwerk zum Lesen von CDs wären ebenfalls Pflicht.
Eventuelle konkrete Spendenangebote oder Detailsnachfragen per E-Mail an mich oder Georg. Bei mehreren Angeboten würden wir ein geeignetes Modell nach weiteren optionalen Kriterien auswählen.

Die Zeit drängte (wegen des engen Reiseplans von Georg) und da kein Spender in Sicht war, hat Georg nun einen Laptop erworben.
