Es freut mich, dass Sie sich des wichtigen Themas der Freien Software annehmen und in der Taz darüber berichten. Für mich als Abonnenet der Taz stellt die Freie Software-Bewegung auch politisch und kulturell ein immer interessanter werdendes Thema dar, das gerade für die Klientel der Taz besonders spannend sein dürfte.
Ich möchte Sie auf ein paar Ungenauigkeiten in Ihrem Artikel hinweisen. Sie schreiben:
Lizenzfreie Programme - an erster Stelle das Betriebssystem Linux - gehören heute zum Alltag vor allem in deutschen Unternehmen.
Eine genauere Bezeichnung des Betriebssystems wäre GNU/Linux, da Linux selbst nur der Kern des Betriebssystem ist.
Der Betriebssystemkern Linux steht, sowie praktisch alle weiteren Kompomenten gängiger GNU/Linux Systeme unter urheberrechtlich bindenden Lizenzen. Linux beispielsweise unter der GNU General Public License Version 2, kurz GNU GPL. Von "lizenzfrei" kann eigentlich keine Rede sein. Diese Lizenzen geben der Software erst die nötige Freiheit sie zu nutzen, anzupassen, kopieren und Verbesserungen der Allgemeinheit zugänglich zu machen. Es gibt eine ganze Reihe Lizenzen, unter welcher Software als Freie Software herausgegeben werden kann. Auf den folgenden Webseiten finden Sie dazu mehr Einzelheiten:

Auf Basis dieses Missverständnisses ist zu erklären, warum Sie im Folgenden von einem Gegensatz von kommerzieller und Freier Software schreiben:
In der betrieblichen Praxis scheint damit der Grundsatzstreit zwischen linzengeschützter, kommerzieller Software und der Szene der freien Entwickler einer mehr oder weniger friedlichen Koexistenz gewichen zu sein.
Es gibt kommerzielle Freie Software und Entwickler derselben. Ich kann Ihnen viele Unternehmen nennen, welche solche kommerzielle Freie Software gegen Geld herstellen, für Kunden implementieren und betreuen.
