Befragung und Teilnahme an einer Verlosung
*Was bedeutet es, deutsch zu sein?*
Unterschiedliche Menschen, die in Deutschland leben, haben auf diese Frage natürlich die unterschiedlichsten Antworten. Die Arbeitsgruppe Methodenlehre der Universität Konstanz führt zurzeit eine Befragung zu diesem Thema durch. Daher laden wir auch Sie ein, an unserer Befragung teilzunehmen.
Das Ausfüllen des Fragebogens dauert knapp 20 Minuten. Selbstverständlich ist Ihre Teilnahme an der Studie anonym. Wir verwenden Ihre Daten nur zu Forschungszwecken und geben sie nicht an dritte Personen weiter. Für das Beantworten des Fragebogens sind keinerlei Vorkenntnisse erforderlich. Es geht ausschließlich um Ihre ganz persönliche Meinung. Als Dankeschön haben Sie Möglichkeit, an einer Verlosung teilzunehmen und einen *Amazon-Warengutschein in Höhe von 350€* zu gewinnen.

Ich bin mir nicht sicher, ob man die FSFE als "linke" oder "alternative" Gruppe bezeichnen kann. Fellows und Mitglieder der FSFE sind Menschen mit unterschiedlichen Auffassungen auch hinsichtlich der erstrebenswerten Gesellschaftsordnung.
Es gibt bei uns beispielsweise auch Piraten und Piratinnen, die bekanntlich weder "links", noch "rechts", sondern "vorn" sind ;-).
Wofür wir gemeinsam arbeiten, die die Verbreitung Freier Software, wobei es zunächst gleichgültig ist, unter welchen Produktionsbedingungen sie geschaffen wurde und welches "Geschäftsmodell" mit ihr verfolgt wird. Ist es "links" oder "alternativ", wenn wir fordern, dass den Nutzern von Software bestimmte Freiheiten eingeräumt werden sollen?
Oder ist dies eher "liberal"? Oder gar "konservativ", weil ursprünglich alle Software frei war?

Ich habe früher gedacht, dass FS erfolgreich sein müsste, weil sie eigentlich alle politische Richtungen bedient: es sind sicher liberale, sogar libertäre Aspekte dabei, aber auch soziale. Trotzdem scheinen es eher links-grüne Kreise zu sein, welche sich in Parlamenten für FS einsetzen. Und diejenigen, die sich für Freiheit einsetzen, bewerten oft die Freiheit von Grossfirmen, viel Geld zu verdienen, prioritär gegenüber individuellen Freiheiten. Deswegen wohl das Etikett.
In der Zwischenzeit halte ich die nicht nicht eindeutige Platzierung für eher nachtteilig, da keine politische Partei es als ihre Aufgabe sieht, FS zu unterstützen. Bei Umfragen sind zwar viele dafür, besonders Piraten, Grüne, und SozialdemokratInnen sowie einige Kleinparteien, aber wenn es um Abstimmungen gegen die Wünsche von Verwaltungen geht, sieht es anders aus.

"Vorne" ist doch eine Alternative zu "links" oder "rechts". ;-)
Freie Software ist für mich eine sehr bedeutsame Alternative zu propritärem Kram! Die Freie Software Bewegung und das Copyleft, ist für mich eine solidarisch soziale Alternative zum globalem Kapitalismus.

'Bestimmte Freiheiten einräumen' klingt fast wie AGB.
Die GPL möchte die Freiheit garantieren, alle Versionen eines Programms zu teilen und zu verändern. Sie soll sicherstellen, daß die Software für alle ihre Benutzer frei bleibt.
Oder ist dies eher "liberal"? Oder gar "konservativ", weil ursprünglich alle Software frei war?
Liberale und Konservative teilen nicht! Sie wollen 'Macht' und fühlen sich nur Ihrer Lobby und dem Kapitalismus verpflichtet.
Richard würde ich als 'weitsichtigen sozial Revolutionär' bezeichnen.

Ich hatte die Piraten ursprünglich etwas "links" eingestuft, da ich viele ihrer Anliegen teile, doch im Kanton Bern hatten sie bei den letzten Wahlen eine Listenverbindung mit einer ziemlich rechts stehenden Partei. (Am Ende waren die Stimmen "verloren", da es zu keinem Sitz reichte.)

Das war das Stichwort! Der Kapitalismus ist eindeutig ein "rechtes" Modell, welches ohne Korrekturen dazu führt, dass ganz Wenige ganz viel und ganz Viele ganz wenig haben, wie jeder "Monopoly"-Spieler weiss, und der Grund weshalb Bill Gates immer noch einer der reichsten Menschen ist, auch wenn er sich ehrlich bemüht, den Reichtum zu verteilen. Die schweizerischen Sozialdemokraten haben die "Überwindung des Kapitalismus" im Parteiprogramm, werden aber immer wieder dafür von denjenigen kritisiert, welche nicht zwischen Kapitalismus und freier Marktwirtschaft unterscheiden können. Das ist wohl der Grund, weshalb es doch eher Linke sind, welche die Ideale der freien Software unterstützen, und nicht diejenigen mit "Freiheit" im Parteiprogramm, denn die Quasimonopole der grossen Anbieter von proprietärer SW sind kapitalistische Projekte.

Ich würde sagen, sie haben ein Zielkonflikt zwischen ihren Idealen und dem, was dabei herauskommt, wie die Linken auch. Und auch die Frommen und die Grünen führen Krieg und bauen Pipelines, wenn sie mal an der Macht sind. Meine Erkenntnis ist, dass Machtkonzentrationen immer schädlich sind, egal von welcher politischen Ecke her. Und das ist genau was ich an FS schätze, die ist da viel weniger anfällig. (Und, etwas weit hergeholt, an oberirdischen Bahnhöfen... VERGESST NICHT ABZUSTIMMEN!!!)
