Hallo,
Thema des reguläre Freie-Software-Abend in Düsseldorf im November 2018 war wieder einmal ein eher technisch-praktisches, nämlich der Kalender-(CalDAV-) und Adress-(CardDAV-)Server radicale [0]. Radicale ist ein kleiner, aber mächtiger Server, geschrieben in Python.
Der Chronist trat nach der Vorstellungsrunde als Referent auf und beschrieb die Installation und eine (von vielen möglichen) Konfiguration dieses Servers als Kalenderserver.
Ferner wurde auch die auch die Konfiguration von Thunderbird-Lightning zum Zwecke der Kalendersynchronisation dargelegt.
Nach dem Vortrag gab es eine allgemeine Diskussion, die von der sinnvollen Anwendung der DSGVO auf Keyserver bis zu Fragen der IT-Sicherheit reichte.
Dank an Frosch für das kurzfristige Einspringen als "Host".

Der nächste reguläre Freie-Software-Abend in Köln ist am 05.12.2018 wieder ab 19:30 Uhr im Lokal K von Wikimedia, Hackländerstr. 2, Köln.
Er ist nochmals als Diskussionsabend geplant.
Gäste und neue Teilnehmer sind auch in Köln herzlich willkommen.
Im Dezember gibt es traditionsgemäß keinen Freien Software Abend in Düsseldorf, dafür aber das inzwischen traditionelle FYMTathon zum Jahresende. Hierzu erfolgt noch eine gesonderte Einladung.
Der folgende Freie-Software-Abend in Düsseldorf ist daher dann erst wieder im Januar, nämlich am 30.01.2019.
