Andererseits heißt es doch, dass McCreevy die Direktive zurückziehen wird, wenn das Parlament nennenswerte Änderungen beschließt. Insofern wäre doch selbst im günstigsten Fall letztendlich nicht mehr als gar keine Direktive zu erreichen (außer vielleicht einer symbolischen Geste durch das Parlament), oder sehe ich das falsch?

Aber wie groß ist die Chance, dass die 21 Änderungsanträge durchkommen? Muss man nicht vielleicht sagen: "Lieber keine Richtlinie, als eine schlechte?" Mich würde die Meinung anderer zu diesem Thema interessieren.

Ich denke auch, dass die Ablehnung der Richtlinie den besten Kompromiss aus Wunschziel und Möglichem bildet. Insbesondere, da damit "unsere" Position bis auf Weiteres nicht sinnvoll unterlaufen werden kann. Auch FFII-Linie war immer, dass "keine Richtlinie" nicht die schlechteste Lösung wäre.

Eigentlich in der Reihenfolge 1. Eine gute Richtlinie 2. Keine Richtlinie ... 3. Ein schlechte Richtlinie

Das die Hardliner (Manders, Harbour, Lehne, Würmeling) jetzt alle auf dem Ablehnungspfad der Richtlinie herumtrampeln, liegt daran, dass sich im Parlament die Mehrheit zu den 21 Anträgen der Buczek-Rocard-Duff hingezogen fühlt und deren Ausweg ist einzig und allein die Ablehnung, um keinerlei Patentrestriktionen zuzulassen.
Apropos: Netter Satz von Mr. Stav (aus http://wiki.ffii.org/Plen050705De) Die Industrie hat beschissenes Lobbying gemacht, die Open Source Leute haben sie voll ausgestochen

Es wäre vermessen, anzunehmen, die Softwarepatent-Richtlinie wäre der erste Fall der Menschheitsgeschichte, in dem eine kleine Gruppe die Führungsebene für ihre insgesamt schädlichen Ziele einzubinden versucht.

wuerden diese 21 Antraege das Problem wirklich loesen? Ich hatte mich mit den Aenderungsantraegen befasst, die mir ein Abgeordneter geschickt hatte, und die angeblich die definitive Liste aller Aenderungsantraege darstellt, und ich muss sagen, dass da einige Sachen drin waren, die mir grosse Bauchschmerzen bereitet haetten. Unter anderem wird in dieser Liste von Antraegen mehrfach postuliert, dass Patente Vorbedingung fuer und ein Spiegelbild der Innovationskraft einer Region und per se fuer alle Leute nuetzlich sind.
Diese Aenderungsantraege sind mMn zu ueber der Haelfte von der Art "Lasst uns jetzt ein Gesetz machen, und in 10 Jahren ueberlegen wir, ob es taugt."
Ausserdem, von allem Aktionismus mal abgesehen, faende ich es _sehr_gut_, wenn die Politiker, wie teilweise durchklang, tatsaechlich versuchen wuerden, eine sachgerechte Entscheidung im Einklang mit ihrem Gewissen zu treffen, besonders, wo im Allgemeinen der Eindruck ueberwiegt, dass diese beiden Merkmale nicht vorhanden sind.

Prima! Schoen ist, dass der Autor ja schon die Beilage im Handelsblatt massgeblich mitgestaltet hat... dh wir profitieren von den Kontakten auch in Zukunft und auch in anderen Medien, da Herr Gneuss eben fuer viele Medien taetig ist...
