Hallo liebe Liste, Ich habe folgenden Gedanken:
Für eine Verkehrswende von meist stehenden und meist fast leeren PKW hin zu umweltbewusten Mobilitätsdiensten hilft der digitale Werkzeugkasten um ein vielfaches, wenn der Fokus bei den Werkzeugen auf freie Informationen und freie Systeme (Software) gesetzt wird.
Als Software-Ingeneur im ÖPNV sehe ich einen Wettbewerbs- und Angebotsmangel bei freien Systemen für Flottenmanagement. Zuspruch? Wiederspruch?
Ich liebe und lebe die Sharing Economy. Daher kann ich mir vorstellen, solche Systeme zu entwickeln und verkaufen, aber auch zu vermieten und hosten.
Ein Bordrechner für Fahrzeuge wie Taxen und Busse lässt dich preiswert und simpel durch einen bspw. Raspberry Pi substituieren. Interessenten habe ich schon. Meinung? Weitere Ideen?
Ich kann mir sogar vorstellen diese Bordrechner am Anfang kostengünstig zu vermieten, wenn es daran mangelt, um den Stein ins Rollen zu bringen.
Ich frage mich, ob diese Art Initiative eine höhere Erfolgschance hat, wenn sie statt von einem potentiell biased Freiberufler oder Privatwirtschaft, eher von einer authentischen und neutralen Institution gesteuert wird. Meinung?
Ich könnte auch einen bspw. Verein extra für diese Initiative gründen. Allerdings mag ich statt Kleinklein und Mikrokosmos lieber die Bündelung von Kräften in gewichtigen Institutionen. Together is better! The more, the merrier! Free Software First! :) Meinung?
Unabhängig von dem Ausgang dieses Gedankenspiels fange ich schon mal an. Taten statt Warten! :)
Was meint ihr? Ist diese oder eine andere bestehende Institution geeignet für diese Initiative?

Vor kurzem war hier in der Liste eine Frage zu einem Open Tool für Inventarliste. Deine Idee scheint mir recht ähnlich. Insitutionalisierung finde ich gut, aber da kann ich nicht mit Erfahrungen trumpfen. Entwicklung und Hosting könnte ich machen, für den Rest sollten sich andere finden. Du könntest mir mal einfach per E-Mail einen Terminvorschlag machen, wo wir uns auf Jitisi eine Stunde zusammen hinsetzen.

Ich denke allerdings, dass sich eine Freie Software daran messen lassen wird, was die Konkurrenz für die Nutzenden der Software schon tut. "Flottenmanagement" erscheint mir recht grob, als Beschreibung.
Was wäre der Ursprung Deines Wertversprechens an die Leute, welche für die Nutzung der neuen Freien Software bezahlen sollen?
Detail: Fürs Auto-Teilen hier in Osnabrück setzt stadtteilauto.info wohl auf ein System von https://cantamen.de/ die bieten echt viel integriert an und scheinen eine Software zu haben (vermutlich proprietär).
Mit welchen Argumenten würdest Du beispielsweise Stadtteilauto überzeugen wollen, Deine neue Software einzusetzen? Oder würdest Du Cantamen überzeugen wollen, oder ein neues Unternehmen?

Ja, Flottenmanagement ist ein weiter Bereich, der wenig über die Details meiner Aktivität aussagen.
Meine Motivation kommt aus dem Alltag. Ich sehe, dass bspw. Busse und Bürgerbusse in Niedersachsen unter anderen IVU.Cockpit als Bordrechner und IVU.Fleet als Leitstelle benutzen.
Mir blutet das Herz, wenn ich die enormen Lizenzkosten für die Investition und die etwa 10% für die Betriebslizenz per Anno sehe. Du könntest einen viel besseren Beitrag zum ÖPNV leisten, wenn du das Geld in Software-Pflege und -Entwicklung steckst.
Von IVU.Cockpit laufen alte Versionen auf den Bussen, weil sie manuell aktualisiert bzw. separat die neuen Lizenzen eingekauft werden müssen. Das machen Verkehrsunternehmen nicht. Die alten Versionen erzeugen teilweise eine mangelhafte Datenqualität. Darunter leiden zuerst die Echtzeitdaten, dann die Prognose in der Auskunft und am Ende der Fahrgast.
Zwischen IVU.Cockpit und IVU.Fleet werden Meldungen in einer Art CSV-Format in Klartext über Mobilfunk ausgetauscht. Das ist Zeit- und Ressourcencerschwendung. Der GPS-Koordinate in der Standortmeldung fehlt es sogar an einem Zeitstempel.
Soweit zu meiner Motivation. Über andere Anbieter proprietärer Systeme weiß ich bisher weniger.
Es gibt in diesem Bereich auch FLOSS Software über den Globus verstreut, welche mehr oder weniger alt und lauffähig ist. Ich bin dabei diese Mosike in die Gegenward zu bringen und Piloten zu testen. Dabei fehlt meistens ein FLOSS Automatic Vehicle Locator (AVL) System. Aus Mangel an mir bekannter FLOSS Software würde ich jetzt ein Raspberry Pi mit Cellular Data und GPS von Anfang konfigurieren. Anschließend kommen die folgenden Komponenten im Datenfluss. Als Alleinkämpfer mahlen die Mühlen bisher langsam. Ich freue mich über Kooperation.
Das ist grob mein Fahrplan. Ich freue mich über diesen Austausch und diese wertvollen Anregungen. So stelle ich mir Shared Economy vor. Danke.
