Hallo,
Ich suche seit einiger zeit eine möglich umfangreiche Programmliste die darstellt unter welcher Lizenz das entsprechende programm steht. Ich würde gerne bevor ich ein programm installiere auf einen blick sehen können ob das programm frei ist und unter welcher lizenz es steht. Weiß jemand von euch ob eine entsprechende liste exestiert? Auf den Seiten des GNU Projektes konnte ich leider nichts in der richtung finden. Ich denke es könnte besonders für leute die sich nicht mit jedem programm beschäftigen wollen nützlich sein gleich sehen zu können ob dieses programm freie software ist.
RMS hat auf den FSF Awards 2000 darum gebeten das sich vielleicht einige freiwillige finden könnten die eine liste von den hardwareherstellern, die entwicklern freier treiber informationen über ihre geräte zur verfügung stellen, betreuen. Seitdem habe ich von den thema leider nichts mehr gehört. Ist jemanden bekannt ob so eine Liste mittlerweile exestiert oder gearbeitet wird? Mich würde so eine sehr interesieren.

Eine kleine Datenbank, die nur Freie Software Pakete beinhaltet ist das neue GNU Free Sowftare Directory [1]. Dort ist jeweils angegeben unter welcher Lizenz ein Paket steht.

Ansonsten gibt es da noch Freshmeat [2]. Habe aber die Erfahrung gemacht, das man sich auf die Lizenzangaben bei Freschmeat nicht immer verlassen kann.
Vielleicht kennt jemand noch etwas?

Es ist leider etwas versteckt. Hoffentlich findet bald jemand Zeit da zu verbessern.
