Hi,
ich habe heute beim browsen adobe Werbung entdeckt[1]. Ich habe den Betreiber_innen der Seite geschrieben, ob sie die nicht loeschen oder durch links auf pdfreaders.org ersetzen wollen.
Eine halbe Stunde spaeter bekam ich schon eine Antwort. Sie haben tatsaechlich den Link zum pdf viewer von Adobe ersetzt. Allerdings war daneben ein Link zu einem Adobe svg viewer. Die Betreiber_innen fragen mich jetzt, ob ich auch dazu eine Alternative kenne. Kenne ich aber nicht.
Ich weiss, dass evince svgs anzeigen kann und auch die meisten anderen Programme. Aber eine Uebersicht in der Qualitaet von pdfreaders.org kenne ich fuer svg nicht.
Habt ihr da Vorschlaege? Was soll ich denen schreiben?

Desktop-Umgebungen: PLasmau nd KDE Plattform 4, GNOME Editoren: Inkscape, (LibreOffice) Webbrowser: Webkit (in Safari, Chromium), Gecko (Iceweasel)
Übrigens: Die Unterstützung für den proprietären Adobe SVG-Betrachter scheint zum 1.1.2009 eingestellt worden zu sein.

So gut wie alle Browser außer IE können mit SVG umgehen ;) Dazu noch eine Menge Desktoptools. IIRC sogar Windows7 im Explorer mit der Vorschaufunktion selber.

Wenn dennoch ein spezielles Tool gefragt ist, würde ich Inkscape vorschlagen. Damit kann man SVG-Dateien nicht nur anzeigen, sondern gleich auch bearbeiten. :-)
