Ich weiß nicht ob dieser offene Brief damit zusammen hängt, aber ein Kommentator auf Heise schreibt unter dem Titel
"Nallinger rudert zurück"
dass folgendes auf ihrer Facebook Seite zu lesen sein soll:
"Wir Grüne stehen für freie Software und haben es geschafft, dass München mit LiMux weltweit Vorreiter auf dem Weg zu einer offenen und unabhängigen digitalen Welt ist. Doch Vorreiter zu sein, heißt auch erstmal den Weg frei zu kämpfen. Gerade als Politikerin muss ich darauf achten, dass das nicht auf Kosten einiger weniger geschieht. Das sind momentan die städtischen Angestellten in München. Warum? Weil zu wenige Städte freie Software nutzen und es deswegen viele Programme nur für nicht-freie Betriebssysteme gibt. Das Schnittstellenmanagement frisst viel Zeit, Geld und Nerven. Ich fände es gut, wenn wir den Weg der freien Software weitergehen würden und nicht wieder umsteigen müssten. Aber dazu brauchen wir Hilfe. Den Nachgeschmack, dass sie intern den Weg zurück zu Windows vorgeschlagen haben soll, bekomme ich aber nicht aus dem Mund.

Also wenn ich das so lese, dann ist das kein Zurückrudern. Sie erhebt die städtischen Angestellten zu Opfern der Migration und sagt klipp und klar, dass sie nicht gewillt ist, die Vorreiterrolle von München auf deren Kosten fortzuführen, wenn Sie Oberbürgermeisterin wird.
Sie greift dabei die Pressemitteilung der Grünen Jugend auf. [1] Ich denke von dieser Seite hat sie Feuer bekommen.
In den Kommentaren zu meinem Brief ist übrigens einer vom Münchner grünrosanen Fraktionsvorsitzenden, der sich klar zu LiMux bekennt. [2] Ich habe nochmal wegen proprietärer Software-Ausnahmen nachgehakt, aber im Grunde ist das die Haltung, die ich von den Grünen erwartet habe.
Ich habe ihr im Übrigen natürlich auch eine Mail geschickt und sie über den Brief informiert. Daher erwarte ich auch eine Antwort ausserhalb von Zuckerville.

Ich kriege nicht alle Details mit, aber hier mein Senf dazu.
Frau Nallinger fordert sozusagen ganz Deutschland (oder zumindest schonmal ein paar andere Stadtverwaltungen) dazu auf, ihnen zu Hilfe zu kommen. In diesem Sinne ein Hilferuf. Vielleicht auch eine Drohung "Wenn ihr uns nicht helfen kommt, dann geben wir auf! Kommt nicht nachher weinen!"
Dieser Hilferuf kommt bestimmt nicht nur von ihr, sondern sie hat sich nur entschlossen, sich für diesen Vorschlag einzusetzen.
Einerseits hat sie Recht. Wenn unsere Politiker auf Bundesebene (nicht nur München) nicht endlich kapieren, dass wir es nur schaffen, wenn wir gemeinsam vorgehen, dann wird MS in München früher oder später einen weiteren Sieg gegen unsere Freiheit einfahren. Wenn MS ja sogar schon in den Schulen Werbung für ihre Produkte machen können, dann hat München einen Wettbewerbsnachteil, weil sie ihre IT-Fachkräfte selber ausbilden müssen. Das hat MS schon lange kapiert. Ja, Konzerne sind mächtiger als Staaten. Wir sind hier auf auf offener See mit unserem Katamaran und kämpfen gegen Öltanker.
Andererseits dürfen wir nicht vergessen: das erklärte Ziel eines Staates ist es, das Wohlergehen seiner Bürger zu garantieren und die eigene Souveränität zu schützen. Das erklärte Ziel eines jeden Privatunternehmens dagegen ist es, seinen Besitzern finanziellen Gewinn zu bringen. Als Staat ist es unsere Pflicht, effiziente Schutzmechanismen dagegen aufzubauen. Ja, das ist nicht einfach und nicht kostenlos, aber es ist momentan dringender als Bundeswehr und Straßenbau.
Es ist also spannend. Ich hoffe, dass Frau Nallingers Aufruf bundesweit genügend Gegenstimmen findet von Leuten, die mutig klarstellen "Nein, wir *wollen* frei sein, koste es was es wolle!"

Ich sehe das nicht so. Die Konzerne sind nur so stark, wie die Politik es erlaubt. Aber selbst grüne oder liberale PolitikerInnen kapieren selten, wie wichtig es ist, die Macht grosser Konzerne zu beschränken. Während sie es bei der Gentechnik vielleicht noch sehen (ganz unabhängig von der Frage, welche Vor- und Nachteile die Gentechnik tatsächlich hat), scheint es bei IT-Themen verdrängt: fast jedem und jeder ist die vermeintliche Bequemlichkeit des Gewohnten wichtiger, sei es Windows, Google oder iPad.

PS Trotzdem eine gute grüne-IT Neuigkeit aus der Schweiz: die Grünen Kanton Bern haben diesen Monat ihren Webserver von Windows auf Linux umgestellt!

habt Ihr konkrete Kenntnisse, welche Mitarbeiter weshalb "verzweifelt" sind - und weswegen im Rahmen von LiMux dagegen nichts unternommen wird (oder werden kann)?
Aus Frau Nallingers Stellungnahme laesst sich nicht ersehen, ob hier nur ein paar Angestellte, die mit jeder grossen Software-Umstellung ihre Probleme haetten (oder sauer sind, dass ihre MS-Kenntnisse jetzt weniger wert sind), klagen (die Klage also nur mit der Modernisierung der IT-Struktur zu tun hat) oder ob es tatsaechlich GNU/Linux bzw Freie Software ist, die das "Problem" darstellt. [und wenn letzteres, ist auch nicht klar, weshalb das nicht im Rahmen von LiMux behebbar waere).
