Am 17. und 18. März 2010 findet eine internationale Konferenz mit dem Titel "Commons, Users, Service Providers - Internet (Self-) Regulation and Copyright" in Hannover statt. Die Konferenz beleuchtet drei unterschiedliche Regulierungsansätze im Bereich des Urheberrechts: Die Selbstregulierung von freien Software und Open-Access-Gemeinschaften, die Haftungsprivilegierung von Zugangsdiensteanbietern sowie die strikte Anwendung der Schrankenregelungen im Urheberrecht. Die Konferenz wird ausgerichtet von Prof. Dr. Axel Metzger (Leibniz Universität Hannover, Institut für Rechtsinformatik), zusammen mit Prof. Dr. Thomas Dreier (Karlsruher Institut für Technologie) und Prof. Dr. Gerald Spindler (Georg-August-Universität Göttingen).
