Jaja, ich kenne noch eine Mailingliste, die so konfiguriert ist. Es ist ein ständiges Ärgernis, weil kein Mensch damit rechnet!

Jaja, ich kenne noch eine Mailingliste, die so konfiguriert ist. Es ist ein ständiges Ärgernis, weil kein Mensch damit rechnet!
Ich finde es ein bisschen schade, da durch diese Konfiguration die Tendenz besteht Threads off-list weiter zu führen. Das finde ich für eine ML eher kontra produktiv.

bei mir scheint es mit KMail auch durch einfaches Klicken auf "Antworten" zu funktionieren, der Mailingliste zu antworten.

Da funktioniert jeder Mail Client anders. Ich erwarte bei einem einfachen Reply das tatsächlich nur dem Absender geantwortet wird, bei einer Mailinglist finde ich es sinnvoll wenn dies die Liste ist. Technisch gesehen verhält sich KMail hier nicht ganz konform wenn es so ist wie du es beschrieben hast.

Interessanterweise ist es bei dieser Mail von dir jetzt so, dass es nicht genügt, einfach auf Antworten zu klicken – ich musste auf "Allen antworten" gehen, damit die fsfe-Mailinglistenadresse dabei war. Bei den ganzen Mails vorher genügte das bloße "Antworten". Dazu funktioniert bei der letzten Mail im Gegensatz zu den vorherigen noch nicht einmal "an die Liste antworten" (im Anhang ist ein Screenshot mit den Möglichkeiten, die KMail bietet).
Macht es etwa einen Unterschied, ob die fsfe-Listenadresse als "An" oder "Kopie" im Mailkopf versendet wird?

Wenn man einen MUA verwendet, der den Namen auch verdient (sprich es erlaubt, E-Mail effizient zu nutzen), passiert einem das wahrscheinlich seltener. Ich drücke eigentlich schon automatisch "L" und nicht "r", was bei Off-List-Diskussionen mit mehreren Leuten immer dazu führt, dass mein MUA mir höflich mitteilt, keine Mailingliste identifizieren zu können. Leider ist der Mail-Followup-To-Header nicht standardisiert, aber die guten Mailclients beachten ihn dennoch. Die richtig guten setzen ihn auch noch dazu, wenn man sie richtig konfiguriert. Aber die tun dann auch so Sachen, wie Zeilen auf 80 Zeichen zu limitieren, damit das ganze auch lesbar bleibt. Leider werden die guten MUAs aber immer weniger (gut, es verwendet auch kaum mehr jemand soetwas, aber die diversen Webmailer sind nochmal eine Kategorie schlimmer). Das ist wahrscheinlich mit ein Grund, warum das Medium E-Mail regelmäßig für tot erklärt wird…

Danke für die Erklärung. Würde nicht ein Default auf reply-to-list schon viele dieser Probleme lösen? Ich sehe den Nachteil für eine ML noch nicht wirklich.

Das Hauptproblem ist, dass es dann sehr umständlich wird, bei einem E-Mail dem Absender offlist was zurückzuschreiben, falls man das tatsächlich einmal will. Noch schlimmer: wenn ich das versuche (und genau die Funktion in meinem Mail-Client verwende, die das tun soll - nämlich "Antworten an Absender") und nicht aufpasse, dann landet das Mail mit möglicherweise privaten Informationen auf der Liste.
