Das ist seit Ewigkeiten eine Grundposition der Softwarepatent-Gegner. Man muss sich echt fragen, wieso ein Staat mit marktwirtschaftlichem System so lange braucht, eine unter Volkswirtschaftlern anerkannte These "Patent == Monopol" zu verstehen.

Weil Geld dahinter steckt.
Im Moment erscheint viel zu Monopolen (=Patente) auf Heise. In http://www.heise.de/newsticker/data/odi-09.07.02-000/ "...empfiehlt die Europäische Kommission, Behörden in Europa sollten Software auf Open-Source-Basis gemeinsam nutzen."
Ich hoffe, die meinen hier Freie Software.
