Verwendet habe ich vor allem Flowblade, aber natürlich auch gimp, inkscape, audacity usw. Ich glaube im Nachhinein, ich habe dann am Schluss noch das falsche Format gewählt: mp4 ogv dauerte zu lange und ich war nicht sicher, ob es dann alle lesen können. Wäre mkv besser gewesen? Alles unter dem Gesichtspunkt freier Software, aber auch Zugänglichkeit für alle Welt.
Und noch was: Hätte ich im Schlussbild die freie Software noch anders betonen sollen?

OT ist das Thema doch gar nicht, im Gegenteil betrifft es zwei wichtige Problembereiche: Erstellung und Publikation mit Freier Software.

Insgesamt finde ich diese Herangehensweise ganz gut, konsequent auf Freie Software und Services zu setzen und trotzdem ohne Ignoranz mit dem Problem umzugehen, dass sich die Mehrheit der User nunmal im "digitalen Nordkorea" tummelt und dort erreicht werden muss (bedeutet btw auch, dass ich die "Share and support"-Liste unter http://fsfe.org/contact/contact.html pädagogisch unschön finde, aber das ist nun wirklich OT).

Richard Stallman hatte mal bei einem Vortrag WebM empfohlen, was ich seitdem immer nutze. Für OpenShot wären die Export-Einstellungen für WebM:
File -> Export Video... -> Simple:
Profile: Web Target: YouTube-HD Quality: High
-> Advanced -> Video Settings
Video format: webm Video codec: libvpx Bit Rate / Quality: 8Mb/s
-> Audio Settings
Audio Codec: libvorbis Sample Rate: 44100 # of Channels: 2 Bit Rate / Quality: 320 kb/s

das ist generell auch die Vorgehensweise, welche die FSFE vertritt. Wobei es sich lohnt immer wieder darüber zu streiten, wie wir die anderen Leute erreichen können, denn erreichen wollen wir sie ja. Dafür ist es wichtig, dass es bessere Anbieter gibt. In manchen Bereichen haben wir die noch zu wenig.

Finde ich durchaus interessant, auf der Liste. Immerhin klären wir dort direkt auf (die Wikiseite könnten wir auch in Deutsch gebrauchen. >;) ) Die Frage ist: Wie können wir es noch besser machen?

Im privaten Gespräch mit Thomas hatte ich ergänzt:
Wenn wir ernsthaft Freie Software (also auch soziale Netzwerke, die aus freier Software gebaut sind) voranbringen wollen, dann können wir propr. Netzwerke nicht zugleich bewerben, weil das die eigenen Ziele torpediert. Das ist genauso als würde ich einem Kontakt sagen: "Du kannst mich über dieses föderale Protokoll (Matrix, XMPP, Email) erreichen oder über WhatsApp" - der Kontakt wird in 90% der Fälle WhatsApp wählen, weil es nunmal bequemer ist, das zu nutzen, was eh alle nutzen und er*sie die freie Alternative gar nicht kennt.
Pädagogisch richtiger wäre in meinen Augen, die "Share and support"-Liste würde ausschließlich freie, föderale Netzwerke führen. Die propr. können trotzdem weiter mit Content befüllt werden, aber dass es sie gibt, erfahren nur noch diejenigen User, die sich in diesen propr. Netzwerken aufhalten, sodass niemand aus dem freien Netz aktiv in das unfreie geleitet wird. Alles andere trägt zum Status Quo der propr. Netze bei, weil die Masse der User keinen hinreichenden Grund bekommt, sich den Weg in die freien Alternativen zu wählen.

Danach hatte mich Thomas darauf hingewiesen, dass es bei den Share-Buttons primär darum geht, die jeweilige Seite im entsprechenden Netzwerk zu teilen - das hatte ich in der Tat missverstanden, ich ging zum damaligen Zeitpunkt davon aus, dass hier eine Liste mit allen offiziellen FSFE-Account vorliegt. Allerdings ändert das in meinen Augen nicht viel an der Problematik, denn:
Als FSFE würde ich niemals in irgendeiner Weise dazu ermutigen, in propr. Netzwerke zu sharen, weil das ein Userverhalten bedient, was einen nicht unbedeutenden Teil des Problems, das die FSFE angehen will, verstärkt. Ja, User wollen Content sharen und das möglichst einfach, aber wenn sie den Komfort eines Share-Buttons wollen, dann doch bitte nur in Netzwerke, die die Prinzipien Freier Software vollumfänglich respektieren. Alle anderen dürfen munter in propr. Netzwerke sharen, haben aber den Nachteil, URLs copypasten zu müssen. Das sind doch die wenigen psychologischen Hebel, die Institutionen wie der FSFE bleiben, auf ein gewünschtes Userverhalten hinzuarbeiten.

ich habe das Filmchen nach deiner Anregung auch auf peertube.social gestellt. Allerdings ist es auch eingebunden in einen Artikel mit etwas Begleittext. Den Editor der Seite (neue-debatte.com) habe ich angeschrieben, worauf er mir geantwortet hat, er finde peertube auch gut, könne aber Filme von dort noch nicht einbinden.
Wie ich ihn kenne, wird er das noch versuchen.

Pädagogisch betrachtet gebe ich dir recht. Aber das sollte nicht unser einziger Ansatz sein. Ein wichtiger Aspekt unserer Arbeit ist auch die Aufklärung. Und indem wir Usern es möglichst einfach machen unsere Botschaft in ihren eigenen Filterblasen zu verbreiten, fördern wir damit die Verbreitung unserer Botschaft. Wir erreichen damit Leute, die wir sonst nicht erreichen würden und die vielleicht noch gar nichts wissen von alternativen Netzwerken und von Freier Software.
Mit jedem neuen Skandel überlegen sich 0.1 bis 5%, dass ihr zentraler Plattformanbieter vielleicht gar nicht so gut ist wie er behauptet. Sie haben aber nur die Chance über Alternativen nachzudenken, wenn sie denn schonmal davon gehört haben. Dann erinnern sie sich vielleicht an die Nachrichten über Alternativen, die irgendwie in ihren Feed gespült wurden und schauen nach.
So lange wir jeden Content in "freier Wildbahn" erstellen und dann von dort aus in proprietäre Netze spülen finde ich die mediale Verbreitung wichtiger als die pädagogische Maßnahme.

Ich leider nicht. Ich habe zuerst nur Flowblade kennengelernt. Auf deine Anregung mal versuchsweise OpenShot installiert. Aber dann gemerkt, dass ich eigentlich mit Flowblade so zufrieden bin, dass ich den Aufwand scheue, die beiden zu vergleichen.

Wir haben am Montag auf dem FSFE-Community-Treffen in Bonn eine (halbwegs) aktuelle Version von kdenlive [0] vorgestellt bekommen. Das lässt sich mittlerweile absturzfrei bedienen (war früher ein großer Schwachpunkt) und bietet mehr Möglichkeiten als so manches proprietäre Programm. LWN.net hatte Vergleiche zwischen den verschiedenen Programmen vor Jahren. Da sich in diesem Bereich anscheinend sehr viel getan hat, wäre es vielleicht auch für LWN (oder andere) von Interesse, darüber wieder zu berichten.
