Es handelt sich schlichtweg um die bekanntesten und unserer Meinung hilfreichsten Programme bzw. Seiten für jemanden ü50, der gar keine Ahnung hat. Wir kamen zu diesen Seiten und Programmen nach ausgiebigen Gesprächen mit Betroffenen. Wir sind also kein Lakai von Microsoft, noch Linux. oder Mac-Gegner. Wir helfen den Menschen damit, was sie zuhause stehen haben.
In meinem persönlichen Umfeld habe ich auch ein paar Menschen über 50 Jahre und meiner Ansicht nach kommen solchen Menschen mit Freier Software oft auch sehr gut zurecht. Vermutlich sogar besser, als mit Microsoft. Das Problem mit Betroffenen, welche "keine Ahnung" haben ist, dass sie eben zu der Aussage, was Ihnen helfen würde, auch keine gute Aussage machen können.
Ganz vehement muss ich mich aber dem unrechtmäßigen Statement verwehren, ich würde in dem Video zum Thema WLAN die Verschlüsselungsart WEP empfehlen. Ganz im Gegenteil mache ich bei Minute 3 (und 33 Sekunden) sehr deutlich, dass es sich um eine veraltete Technik handelt, die unsicher ist und leicht "geknackt" werden kann. Ich erwähne diese Technik, da in Deutschland noch viele alte Router im Einsatz sind, die keine WPA-Verschlüsselung beherrschen bzw. ein entsprechendes Update durch die Besitzer nicht durchgeführt wurde. Diese Menschen müssen dementsprechend mit WEP arbeiten, was immer noch besser ist als keine Verschlüsselung (besonders aus rechtlicher Sicht).
Ja, vermutlich ist WEP besser als nichts, aber ein neuer Router wäre sicherlich noch besser. ;)
Auf jeden Fall danke für die Rückmeldung und Klarstellung! Wir freuen uns über jeden, der unabhängig mehr IT Wissen vermitteln möchte, schliesslich ist das auch die Aufgabe der gemeinnützigen FSFE.
Wird das denn weiter geführt? Kommen neue Videos hinzu? Wäre dann ein GNU/Linux Video etwas, was Euch interessieren würde?
