Wenn langjährige Mitglieder aussteigen sollte darüber offen gesprochen werden. Den Abschied und die Kritik zur verschweigen ist der falsche Weg.
Ich finde da spielen verschiedene Dinge eine Rolle. Wir sind vollkommen beisammen, dass man Dinge nicht verheimlichen sollte. Die Frage ist aber wie genau man damit umgeht. Der eine Punkt ist eine Frage der Privatssphäre des Aussteigers. Ich finde derjenige hat das Recht zu entscheiden, in welcher Öffentlichkeit das diskutiert wird. In diesem Fall hat derjenige sich an verschiedene interne Mailinglisten gewendet. Dass man sowas dann einfach direkt veröffentlicht, halte ich nicht für richtig. Die enthaltene Kritik könnte man aber öffentlich wiedergeben. Die Frage ist dann nur, was genau macht man? Wenn Kritik reinkommt, antwortet man darauf oder fasst man das zusammen und trägt es auf öffentliche Mailinglisten? Wenn jemand, der sich lange Jahre beteiligt hat, geht, schreibt man das auf öffentliche Listen, dass jemand gegangen ist? Ich finde diese Fragen sind nicht so einfach zu beantworten und die bisherige Vorgehensweise ist eben, dass man sich mit der Kritik an den Punkten auseinandersetzt, an denen sie auftaucht. Die Listen, an die die Mail ging, sind Arbeitslisten, auf denen sich unsere engagierten Freiwilligen organisieren. Hier auf der Liste haben wir eine Mischung aus Leuten, die für die FSFE aktiv sind und Leuten, die vielleicht lieber zuhören oder diskutieren. Ich denke die Bearbeitung der Kritik ist in der ersten Gruppe auf jeden Fall produktiver zu machen als einfach alle mit reinzuziehen, die unsere Strukturen vielleicht gar nicht kennen und die sich auch nicht alle auf dieser Liste angemeldet haben, um sowas zu diskutieren, sondern weil sie über Freie Software reden wolllen.
Mit Wörtern wie "fsfegate 2.0" kann ich nichts anfangen, da bin ich einfach nicht in eurer Filterblase.
Das ist auch kein Begriff, der bereits eine Bedeutung hätte. Das kommt letztendlich von der Watergate-Affäre und die amerikanische Presse setzt inzwischen gerne -gate statt -Skandal oder so. Letztlich ist das aber ein etwas unseriöser Begriff und darauf zielte mein Kommentar ab. Ich hätte das gleiche geschrieben, wenn jemand "Fake News", "Lügenpresse" oder sowas geschrieben hätte.
Gegen anonymes Whistleblowing habe ich nichts, im Gegenteil, da Informationen frei sein sollen, unterstütze ich das eher.
Ich im Grunde auch nicht, aber das erfordert schon noch etwas Kontext finde ich. Einfach nur eine private Mail weiterleiten finde ich nicht gut. Als Minimum sollte man den Missstand benennen, den man aufzudecken gedenkt.
Das liegt in der Sache und ist leider ein Problem. z.B. der Abschnitt mit den Open Source-Plattformen, die von der neuen Copyright Directive der EU ausgenommen sind: Als unbeteiligter 3. sehe ich nicht so richtig unseren Erfolg. GitHub behauptet z.B. dass sie das durchgesetzt hätten.
Das kann jeder behaupten, der dazu beigetragen hat und keiner liegt so ganz falsch. Man weiß ja nie so genau warum jemand sich am Ende für etwas entschieden hat.
Es ist Schade, dass wir da unseren Beitrag nicht so gut sichtbar gemacht haben.
Ok, das finde ich einen guten Punkt. Wo würdest du das noch gerne weiterhin sehen. Es gab ein Mailing dazu und eine Pressemitteilung (die leider nicht ganz ideal war, das weiß ich). Wir sind für Vorschläge offen.
