Die Wertschöpfung liegt für den überwiegenden Teil der Wirtschaft darin, etwas mit einem Produkt zu machen: Bei einem Auto bezahle ich, dass man das Metall aus Erz gewinnen musste, dass dass man das Blech gebogen und den Motor gegossen hat, dass man alles zusammengeschweißt und lackiert hat und was weiß ich noch alles. Bei Software bezahle ich eben, dass sich jemand hingesetzt hat, sich das Hirn zermartert und nachher das Resultat in eine Programmiersprache übersetzt und eingetippt hat.
Ich sehe da keinen großen Unterschied zwischen Freier Software und den meisten anderen Produkten, die ich kaufen kann.
In meinen Augen ist es eher die proprietäre Software mit ihren Lizenzkosten und der Tatsache, dass ich über das, wofür ich bezahlt habe, nicht die Kontrolle bekomme, die einen im gesamten Wirtschaftssystem gesehen eher absurden Weg des Geldverdienens darstellt.
Ich hab aber das Gefühl, wir schweifen etwas ab ;-)
