Hallo,
hier ein kurzes Beispiel von eigenartigen Auslegung von Begriffen: "KNX is therefore the world´s only open Standard for the control in both commercial and residential buildings."[1]
Was daran seltsam ist: - - Öffentlich verfügbar sind nur wenige Teile des Standards.[2] - - Den ganzen Standard (ohne Updates) gibt es für 1000€.[3] - - Die notwendigen Tools um wirklich damit arbeiten zu können kosten 900€ für eine Einplatzlizenz.[4] ("Support of all popular 32- and 64- bit Windows® - operating systems") - - Das heißt aber noch nicht das man danach die Erlaubnis hat damit ein Produkt zu entwickeln und zu verkaufen. Membership kostet extra.[5] - - Wenn man das alles geschafft hat und noch nicht bankrott ist sollte das fertige Produkt natürlich noch zertifiziert werden.[6]
Der Standardisierungsprozess selbst ist natürlich auch nicht direkt offen.
Selbst Microsoft hat eine vernünftigere Vorstellung von open standards (zumindest in der Theorie).[7]
