Rein nach der Lizenz ist das korrekt.

Das ist auch unser Ziel, aber in der Verlagswelt soweit ich gerlernt
habe immer noch revolutionär.
Schon mal auf die Schnelle: Ich bin dabei mit dem Verlag dafür noch eine
Lösung zu finden (wir wollten das eigentlich früher klären, sind dann
aber von ein paar anderen Themen wegen der hohen Nachfrage überrant
worden). Ich möchte, dass der Verlag eine gute Erfahrung mit CC-BY-SA
macht, das Thema besser versteht und die Vorteile darin erkennt und das
nicht das letzte Buch unter der Lizenz ist sondern anderen Autoren die
das machen wollen, den Weg einfacher gestaltet.
Es gibt ja leider meiner Ansicht nach viel zu wenig Bücher unter
CC-BY-SA. Freie Werke außerhalb von Software sind ja nicht unser
Kernthema. Daher eine Sache, die mir gerade helfen würde:
Könnt ihr auch mal schauen, ob ihr andere Bücher von kommerziellen
Verlagen (also nicht Selbstverlag) findet, die unter CC-BY, CC-BY-SA
oder vergleichbar stehen und die Info schicken, welches Buch / ISBN
Nummer das ist, welche Lizenz und wo man die Quellen dafür bekommt?
Auch wäre es interessant zu sehen, wie die mit proprietären Quellformaten
umgegangen sind, die vom Verlag für die Produktion benötigt wurde (ich
möchte als FSFE keine proprietären Formate anbieten).
Daneben ist mein Hauptfokus gerade, dass wir einen Verlag für die
englische Version finden.
Falls wir uns nicht mehr lesen wünsche ich Euch noch ein paar gute
unhektische Tage und einen guten Start ins Jahr 2022.

Hallo liebe Liste,
Ich stelle mir häufig folgende allgemeine Frage und hoffe auf
Erfahrungs- und Wissensaustausch.
Welche Hardware, alltagstauglich und kompatibel zu #SoftwareFreedom,
ermöglicht Organisationen einen selbstbestimmten Betriebsalltag?
Über die FSF Webseite war ich bereits auf eine Liste mit Geräten
gestoßen, welche #SoftwareFreedom kompatibel sind. Das ist eine gute
Quelle, auch wenn ich sie jetzt nicht auswendig weiß. Neben der
Kompatibilität ist mir aber mindestens die Tauglichkeit im Alltag
ähnlich wichtig. Was nützt mir ein Gerät, welches #SoftwareFreedom
berücksichtigt aber im Alltag unpraktisch ist?
Hintergrund: Ich bin ehrenamtlich in mehreren Vereinen aktiv (Greenpeace
Deutschland e.V., Foodsharing e.V., Bürgergemeinschaft Lamme e.V.).
Außerdem gründe ich ein Unternehmen, welches freie Software für
Mobilitätsdienstleister anbietet: www.swingbe.de.
Unabhängig für welche dieser Organisationen ich aktiv bin, ich habe (ein
großes Dankeschön der #SoftwareFreedom Community an dieser Stelle) ein
gutes Verständnis und fühle mich Wohl bei der Auswahl von Software für
den Betriebsalltag.
Bei Hardware ist das anders. Da bin ich mir unsicher. Beispiel: Ich
kaufe mir ein Multifunktionsgerät, das am Ende statt Kopieren und
Scannen nur Druckt. Oder: Ich kaufe einen Laptop und kann weder die
eingebaute Kamera noch das Mikrofon benutzen.
Daher meine Frage:
Welche Hardware, alltagstauglich und kompatibel zu #SoftwareFreedom,
ermöglicht Organisationen einen selbstbestimmten Betriebsalltag?
Folgende Geräte muss ich zeitnah beschaffen: Laptop, Docking Station,
Monitor, Multifunktionsdrucker, GPS Sport Watch.
Habt ihr Erfahrung mit konkreten Produkten oder Shops? Kennt Ihr
Webseiten, welche mich bei der Recherche unterstützen?

Hallo,
am Samstag habe ich der Kinderabteilung der

ein Exemplar Ada & Zangemann gespendet.
Die persönliche Nachfrage ergab, sie nehmen Kinderbücher, wenn sie neu sind,
also nicht älter als ein Jahr. Eine Spendenbescheinigung ist auch möglich.
Also habe ich in einer Buchhandlung das Buch gekauft und bin nochmal hin
und habe es abgegeben. :)
Wenn ich es richtig verstanden habe, geht das Buch nun an eine Person, welche
es sichtet. Der Verlag O'Reilly war jedenfalls auf meine Nachfrage hin schon
bekannt.

zum Abschluss des Semesters möchten wir Sie herzlich zu unserer OnlineCryptoParty einladen, und zwar am Dienstag, den 22.2.22, 17-20 Uhr.
CryptoParties sind Workshops, auf denen wir voneinander lernen und uns gegenseitig helfen Nachrichten und Daten zu verschlüsseln, anonym zu surfen oder uns etwas sicherer im digitalen Raum zu bewegen. CryptoParties sind offen für alle und richten sich vor allem an Menschen mit wenig technischen Vorkenntnissen.
Wir nutzen natürlich wieder freie Open Source Software (FLOSS), da nur bei zugänglichem Quellcode die Einhaltung von Datenschutz und Datensicherheit überprüft werden kann.
Außerdem gibt es die Möglichkeit, die Initiative #gnuHU bei einem lockeren Austausch in einer 2D-Welt (Workadventure) kennenzulernen.

Hallo an alle,
manchmal bewegen wir uns im Bereich der Freien Software stark in unserer
eigenen Bubble und erreichen viele gar nicht, weil sie sich in anderen
Bubbles aufhalten.
Bei einer Diskussion im November auf der OpenRheinRuhr[1] haben
Christian Imhorst, Lioh Möller, Michael Wehram und ich eine Diskussion
zur Community in der Open-Source-Welt geführt. Dabei haben wir
festgestellt, dass wir immer wieder mit den selben Leuten (oder Art von
Leuten) auf Veranstaltungen reden und das Gefühl haben, dass wir nicht
nur nicht alle erreichen, sondern deren Kanäle und Sprache wohl gar
nicht bedienen.
Wir haben dann zu einer größeren Runde mit Freunden aus der Freien
Software Community das Thema weiter diskutiert und z.B. festgestellt,
dass wir uns zum Teil auch manchmal selbst im Weg stehen, da ab und an
in den Linux User Groups die Distro-Battle wichtiger erscheint, als
einfach einem Neuankömmling ein Linux auf auf dem Rechner zu
installieren.
Weiter haben wir in einer Arbeitsgruppe ein Video-Format für
Gnu/Linux.ch entwickelt, um hier auch ein anderes Publikum
leichtgewichtig anzusprechen. [2]
In einer weiteren Arbeitsgruppe machen wir uns gerade Gedanken über ein
Zertifikat zur Bewertung der Qualität von Freien Software Projekten. Wer
sich hierfür interessiert, schreibt mich gerne an, dann kann ich dazu
etwas mehr erzählen.
In der Bubble-Gruppen wollen wir momentan gute freie Software finden,
die am besten besser ist als jede andere Closed-Software-Alternative, um
mit dem Qualitätsaspekt hier außerhalb der Bubble zu überzeugen. Wie und
wo genau, dass diskutieren wir noch. Und genau darum geht es. Ich möchte
Euch mit dieser E-Mail gerne zur nächsten Runde einladen, wenn Ihr da
etwas zu beitragen wollt.
Wann? Nächste Diskussion findet diesen Sonntag (20.2.) um 17 Uhr in
einem BigBlueButton-Raum statt. [3] (Wir treffen uns jeden dritten
Sonntag im Monat.)

kürzlich haben wir das erste offizielle Stable-Release des freien
Schul-Informations-Systems AlekSIS veröffentlicht:

Damit steht AlekSIS nun allen Schulen, vorrangig in Deutschland¹, zur
Verfügung.
Das Handbuch, das auf der Website verlinkt ist, ist das offizielle
Release-Artefakt².
Aktuell beinhaltet AlekSIS insbesondere die folgenden FUnktionen im
offiziellen Release:
* Verwaltung von Schülerinnen, Schülern, Lehrkräften und Eltern
* Verwaltung von Klassen und Kursen
* Stundenpläne, Vertretungspläne, inkl. tagesaktuellem Smart Plan
* Digitales Klassenbuch
* PDF-Erzeugung für Archive und Digital Signage
* Anbindung an Schild-NRW (Schulverwaltungssoftware NRW), Pedasos
(Schulverwaltungssoftware SH), Untis (kommerzielle,
de-facto-Standard-Stundenplan-Erstellungs-Software). sowie LDAP
* IdM inkl. OAuth2- und OpenID-Connect-Provider-Support
* Anpassbarkeit (Farben, App-Name, Logos und Icons) an die eigene
Schule
Für das anstehende Release im Sommer sind fest eingeplant:
* Verwaltung von Matrix-Räumen und -Spaces synchron mit Klassen und
Kursen
* Verwaltung von Digital-Signage-Screens
* Verwaltung von Debian-(Edu-)Rechnern inkl. Softwareverteilung
und Authentifikation gegen das AlekSIS-IdM
* Benachrichtigungen auf vielen Kanälen bei Planänderungen, etc.

Wir suchen weiterhin Pilotschulen, die open-source-affin sind und
gerne ein solches System einsetzen und mitgestalten wollen, und

Zusammenarbeit mit Schulen, wenn sie Interesse haben, die
Digitalisierung dort voranzutreiben.

Das Wintersemester nähert sich dem Ende und wir, die FLOSS-Werkstatt, würden uns freuen, euch zu unserem nächsten Workshop begrüßen zu dürfen. Dieses Mal geht es um das Thema 'Podcast Erstellung mit freier Software'. Wir lernen wie man einen Podcast, z.B. als kreative Uni-MAP, plant, aufnimmt, schneidet und bearbeitet. Der Workshop findet am 8.2.22 um 18 Uhr auf BigBlueButton statt. Da er sich an Anfänger*innen richtet sind wie immer keine Vorkenntnisse vonnöten, die Software Audacity¹ muss aber vorher heruntergeladen und installiert sein.
