Hi all,

I have shared the link of Debian outreachy within our university groups.
I would be attending FOSDEM and would like to volunteer for RTC dev-rooms.

Regards,
Jaminy.

Hi all,

Free RTC has been proposed as an Outreachy project topic:

https://wiki.debian.org/Outreachy/Round13/Projects/ImprovingVoiceVideoChatCommunication

There are limited funds for Outreachy and there will not be as many
projects as GSoC.  As the project would be funded by Debian, the project
would have to deliver something that offers a specific benefit to the
Debian community (although it doesn't have to be exclusive to Debian)

If anybody is interested in mentoring, please feel free to add your name
and link on the wiki page and look out for questions from potential
applicants on this mailing list.

Please also feel free to share the link on social media, blogs and if
you are in a university, any on-campus advertising would help a lot.

Regards,

Daniel

Who will be at FOSDEM 2017 and would like to volunteer for the dev-room
or lounge?

A more formal announcement asking for speakers will come soon

Some of the roles for volunteers:

- promoting the dev-room, the RTC lounge and FOSDEM on blogs and in
other places
- handling speaker queries before FOSDEM on this list and privately
- introducing speakers in the room
- controlling doors / crowd levels in the room
- operating the video camera
- operating a demo in the RTC lounge / exhibit space

It would be great if people could reply to this thread if you are going
to be there and would like to help

Please also forward this onto other mailing lists and ask people to
subscribe to the Free-RTC list if they would like to participate

Hi Daniel,
I am interested in being mentor for Outreachy. Please tell me the relevant

I'll be there and I volunteer to do the same type of work as last year:
help with promotion, task selection, speaker handling and other
volunteer coordination the day of the event.
