Dear partners,
As agreed I've compiled a strategy to enable us to release the material
we create to the public in order to make it reusable and improvable for
others. Please see the first version attached and provide your feedback
until the end of July.
Short summary: I propose using CC BY-SA 4.0 by default which allows
others to use and reuse the material if they give credit to us (the
project) and keep the licensing terms equal. Alternatively, for some
edge cases, we can also allow CC0, e.g. for small graphics.

Please find enclosed and in Keybase the revised version of the FOSS4SMEs
Dissemination Plan. I am looking forward to your feedback.
I've clarified the distinction between Multiplier and Dissemination
Events, added rough dates for the former, and added links to the various
documents we meanwhile set up to keep track of the events and
activities.
There is also an update to the National Dissemination Plans. As agreed
on the mailing list, we won't require to create separate long documents
for them but collect the project partner's specifics in an online
spreadsheet. This is supposed to highlight our individual strengths we
can contribute to the overall dissemination. Please also have a look at
the other tables in this document which contain useful and required
information for all of you:

For your information, here's a list of deadlines and requirements you
are supposed to meet with regard to the dissemination:
* Fill in your "partners' strengths" row
* Conduct at least 1 Dissemination Event each project year, and document
them in the spreadsheet and with photos
* Conduct optional Dissemination Activities
* Contribute to the Stakeholders Matrix to help us addressing the right
audiences
* If your organisation will make a Multiplier Event in 2019, keep this
date in mind and ideally start organising the formalities soon
already.

Dear all,
Max has already sent us an updated version of our Dissemination Plan with
guidelines on some more to do's we all need to keep in mind. From my side,
I want to remind you with this e-mail:

with any kind of event that you attend, organise or participate, where you
talk about the FOSS4SMEs project. Think meetings, trade fairs, conferences,
B2Bs, participation at clusters/associations, information days, training,
pretty much any occasion you can mention the project. Please remember to:
· tweet during the event,
· take pictures,
· provide program/agenda if available,
· provide small description on the event and the outcome for our
project, and
· estimate the number of persons reached during this event.
Don't forget to send me and Max an e-mail with your contribution (or that
you updated our online table), in order to include it in the Dissemination
Progress Report. We actually need to submit such progress reports in M6
(March 18), M12 (September 18) and M18 (March 19) of the project.
Please keep in mind that by September and because of the Interim Report we
should be in the position to show at least some diss. events (to make our
NA happy) as well as have the Diss. Plan together with the National Diss.
Plans ready.

Dear partners,
I'm taking one minute of your time to present one of the latest Dlearn
initiative. We have launched an EU survey to analyse citizens' awareness on
their DIGITAL FOOTPRINT. The survey is promoted by the European Digital
Learning Network (DLEARN) and the <https://eavi.eu/> European Association
for Viewers Interests (EAVI), in collaboration with Prof. Przemek Sękalski
of the Technical University of Lodz. The survey aims to look at how much
control respondents currently exercise over their digital footprint, and how
much control they wish to be able to exercise, as well as the protections
and safeguards they would like to see put in place in the future.
The research is a self-sustained initiative of Dlearn's members and EAVI
activities, triggered by the latest events on internet security and personal
data breaches, which aims to detect potential education and training actions
to boost the level of citizens' digital footprint awareness. The results of
the research will be shared with relevant Institutions as the European
Commission, European Parliament and Council of Europe to stimulate the
taking up of eventual measures.
