- Sent Manchester Fellowship meeting notification email to mailing lists
- Chaired January Manchester Fellowship meeting, discussed DFD, FOSDEM,
national curriculum changes, and hosting project progress
- Visited Arcspace community centre; arranged free server for community
hosting project
- Arranged for building / installation of new Manchester community hosting
project server with Fellows & volunteers
on 09.02 with volunteers present and time-lapse photography
- Asked local contact about UK legality of offering encrypted mail hosting
service for community hosting project
- Registered domains for hosting project
- Provided volunteer with info about hosted FS mailing list software

During three days this week I spent most of my time investigating current UK
open standards procurement policy, and making improvements to the Document
Freedom Day website and content.

- Fixed issue on dfd site with events not appearing
- Added new Stephen Fry qoute to DFD front page
- Added improved styling to dfd form input elements (match colour scheme,
shadows, etc.)
- Implemented system for displaying cc license infomation to dfd and fsfe.org
- Added description and keywords meta tags to dfd front pages
- Suggested solutions for other search engines indexing of wiki.fsfe.org
- Added description and keywords meta tags to android fsfe wiki page
- Updated list of women in FS wiki

- Worked on list of articles to be written by team members on education
proposed to coincide with new national ict curriculum
- Requested copy of leaked cabinet office report and BSA consultation

- Updated RMS on FSFE's work on ict national curriculum
- Assessed current Open Standards procurement situation

changes to UK's national ICT curriculum.

Document Freedom Day 2012 (DFD) will be on March 28th, and currently planning
and preparations of all sorts are under way.

*About Document Freedom Day*
Document Freedom Day (DFD) is a day designed to "raise awareness about
document freedom" "on the last Wednesday of March". Document Freedom Day was
first celebrated on March 26, 2008, and is organised and funded by the Free
Software Foundation Europe.
According to Ars Technica, more than "200 groups in 60 countries" are actively
involved in DFD.
DFD's main goals are:
- promotion and adoption of free document formats
- forming a global network
- coordination of activities that happen on last Wednesday of March, Document
Freedom Day
