I realize Amazon has a lot of non-free offers and I think RMS has a personal grudge on the Amazon Kindle, so I guess there is no chance of us doing this?

P.S. I wasn't able to find out in which European countries other than Germany and Austria Amazon Smile is available, the link above is in German language.

The FSFE has an associate ID with Amazon, but it's not actively used. This is the first I've heard of Amazon Smile, and I believe it's relatively recently available in Germany (as in the last year or so).
I would suggest you ask our office manager, Ulrike, to look into it further.
