the World Intellectual Property Organisation (WIPO) is at a turning point: For the first time, there is a comparatively massive call for WIPO to take into consideration issues of development and the interests of developing countries. Until now, WIPO holds a very conservative position on copyright, trademarks, patents and the like. Together with Georg Greve, I'm participating in the meetings where this discussion takes place.
